The STIHL HSA 56 really is the perfect choice for tackling hedges or pruning shrubs. It is both lightweight and extremely simple to use. The HSA 56 is designed with comfort in mind and thanks to the fantastic COMPACT Cordless technology it's quiet too! It packs an impressive cutting power and is sure to make light work of all of those trimming jobs around the garden.
The HSA 56 is part of the COMPACT Cordless System of tools which includes a blower, hedge trimmer, chainsaws and lawn mowers and uses interchangeable batteries which can be swapped and used across the entire range.

Neutral battery position
The battery can be inserted ino the HSA 56 in 2 stages. In the first neutral position, the battery is locked into place but does not connect with the contacts, this allows for safe transport. In the second operating position, the battery is completely inserted allowing for full operation of the tool.
Blade tip protector
The HSA 56 comes with a tip protector fitted as standard, this makes cutting near the ground or along walls easier, whilst helping to protect the cutters from damage.
Double sided cutting blades
STIHL Hedge trimmers are fitted with double-sided cutting blades which cut both vertically and horizontally.
The tool is easily started by activating both switches on the loop handle and the rear handle at the same time. The cutting speed is continuously variable using the rear control, for a fine and precise cut. The two-handed design is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users.
Like many STIHL tools, the HSA 56 hedge trimmer can be conveniently hung up thanks to the built-in hanging eye.
