Delivery Information

Please note that the delivery information outlined below only applies to orders that are placed through the website. Local delivery via one of our vans for orders placed in a store will be charged at the amount specified by the branch.

Orders to be delivered on the next working day MUST be placed BEFORE 12 PM. Orders placed after 12 pm are not guaranteed to be shipped in time for next day delivery.

Orders placed after 12 pm on a Friday, any time Saturday or Sunday will be processed on the following working day (excluding bank holidays) to be delivered the next working day.

Orders placed before 12 pm the day before a bank holiday will be processed to be delivered the next working day.

Orders placed after 12 pm on a bank holiday will be processed the next working day.

The table below provides a basic outline of what you may be charged on orders under £100, weighing 30kg or more, non-mainland and palletised options.

The charges are applied to your basket and check out this is where you will always find the most accurate delivery charges.

Free Shipping!’ in the cart does not always mean free shipping, this label is used to describe a Click and Collect option which is of course free.


Items on our website are available to be purchased and then collected from one of our 3 branches. This service is highlighted in the basket as ‘Free Shipping!’ as the cost of this is, of course, free, it does not mean that we will ship the item to you for free.

We transfer product between our branches on a regular basis so you should always be able to collect an order within a matter of days. We do however aim to keep most items in stock at all branches so collection can almost be available instantly if the product is in stock.

Please always wait for a confirmation email that your order is ready for collection from a branch. We do also ask that a copy of your invoice, a valid form of I.D and the card used for the purchase is brought with you for security reasons.


Some items on our website are only available to be collected in store. This is usually because of size, or weight issues making delivery of the item unavailable. Items that come under this are labelled as in-store collection only. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.


Torne Valley works with DPD to provide outstanding delivery options to all of our customers. As the UK's leading parcel delivery brand, DPD will ensure you are kept up to date with the process of your order, with SMS text message and email confirmations every step of the way, and estimated delivery times to make sure everything is as convenient for you as possible.

Services offered by DPD;

  • SMS text message and email notifications at the time of dispatch.
  • Tracking details, including real-time tracking on a map, with an estimated time of arrival.
  • SMS text message and email confirmation if you're not home at the time of delivery.
  • SMS text message and email notification on the morning of delivery, providing a one-hour time slot for your convenience.
  • SMS text message and email confirmation, with photographic evidence, showing the safe place where your order has been left - if requested. Please be aware if you choose to have a leave safe option you accept full responsibility for parcels left in a safe place.

During the delivery process you can;

  • Change the delivery date.
  • Request the driver leaves your package in a safe place.
  • Upgrade your delivery to a different service. (please note that an additional fee will be needed from DPD for this)
  • Arrange a delivery to a DPD pickup shop.
  • Request that your delivery is left with a neighbour - whether it's a specific person, or whoever is home on your street.

To get the most out of the DPD service, please always provide us with a mobile telephone number for SMS notifications or a valid email address for email notifications. This way you always have full control over your delivery.


Torne Valley is pleased to offer free delivery to mainland UK on selected orders over £100 weighing under 30kg.

Exceptions to this include palletised items; these are large and heavy items such as petrol pressure washers, large welders and compressors which need to be delivered on a pallet. Other exceptions include wooden and metal gates, hurdles, feeders, troughs and sheds and any items restricted by manufacturers. Other items excluded from free delivery include some STIHL products which can be shipped, Husqvarna Push Mowers and Hitachi/HiKoki products.


Some items advertised on our website are only available for delivery on a pallet due to the size and weight of the product. Currently, the minimum price for a palletised delivery is £56 which does increase depending on where in the UK the delivery address is. For more information on palletised delivery, please feel free to contact us. We cannot currently send palletised items to Northern Ireland or Ireland.


Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Isles of Scilly, Orkney Islands, Scottish Western Isles and the Shetland Islands are excluded from free delivery.

The areas listed above are classed as ‘Outside of UK Mainland’ by our couriers and will incur a surcharge over UK Mainland charges and they are also excluded from our free delivery offer.

Excluded postcodes include; IV, HS, KA, KW, PA, PH, ZE, BT, IM, TR, GY and JE.


This is in relation to any product on our website which, has an internal combustion engine and is restricted from delivery by the manufacturer.

Due to manufacturer restrictions, we are unable to post certain products on this site, this includes, John Deere Lawnmowers and Tractors, STIHL Chainsaws (petrol & electric), Hedge trimmers (petrol & Electric), certain models of STIHL strimmer’s and brush cutters, VIKING Lawnmowers and Tractors, ATCO Lawnmowers and Tractors and any other products labelled as so.

These products may be purchased online for in-store pickup from any of our branches or may be available for local delivery from a branch using our own vans.

It is the policy of Torne Valley that any product sold by us containing an Internal Combustion Engine, will undergo a complete PDI & setup by our manufacturer-trained staff. This is to ensure machinery reaches the customer ready to fuel and run. As mentioned above, however, some items cannot be shipped out via courier.


If your order contains POM-VPS or NFA-VPS medicine, you will receive a telephone call from our SQP who will need to collect some information regarding your animal before your order is dispatched. Please ensure we have your contact details, a mobile telephone number is always helpful. We reserve the right not to supply any medicine at our own discretion.

Please also be aware that because of this not all orders will be fulfilled by next day delivery. We do apologise for this inconvenience but due to the nature of the product on sale, we do hope that you understand.


Torne Valley Stock an extensive range of STIHL products ranging from spares to clothing, to professional machinery. Many of which you can purchase directly through our website. However, a majority of these items are subject to the 'STIHL Professional Handover Policy that all official STIHL dealerships must abide by.

STIHL feel that the best customer service given is achieved through face to face contact with an official STIHL dealer. This helps ensure that the customer is sold the correct machine or product that they require, along with proper safety instructions to make sure you're fully prepared for the safe use of the machine. 

You can, however, purchase online and collect your order at your desired store by selecting Click and Collect from your chosen store. All of the machines ordered through our website or in-store are PDI'd by a trained technician to guarantee a problem-free start with your new product.

When ordering STIHL Machinery, please note that the delivery name and address must match the invoice address for warranty purposes. We cannot ship these items to a person or address that isn’t the invoice address.
